Wellness Residential FAQ's
Are AA groups allowed? Yes. Each Wednesday, the patients attend a local meeting in the community, and on Sundays there is an AA meeting at Wellness Residential.
Are Chemical Dependency patients welcome? Yes, with an Axis I diagnosis of a psychiatric disorder. CD/substance abuse must be secondary. However, Wellness does not admit patients taking narcotics.
Are patients allowed visitors? Yes. After program hours, family and friends may visit in the common area. Wellness also has special days for family and friends to visit.
Can patients leave to visit family and friends? Yes. A patient must obtain a pass that is approved by the psychiatrist and treatment team. They must also be a resident for 30 days or over.
Does Wellness have church services? Yes. Once a week, a Minister performs church services at Wellness.
How far must the patients travel from Wellness to attend the day treatment program? 1.5 miles. Transportation is provided.
How many days per week do patients attend therapy? Six days per week, Monday through Saturday, patients attend a day treatment program, which includes psychotherapy, nursing education, and recreational therapy.
Is transportation provided if a patient has an appointment? Wellness provides transportation to all therapeutic appointments (medical, dental, etc).
What is included in the rent? Housing, beds & linens, laundry, transportation, utilities, staff 24 hours per day, 3 home cooked meals per day, and recreational activities.
What is not included in the rent? Medication, personal items, toiletries, cigarettes
