Compass Announces New Facilities:

Inpatient Hospitals

Senior Care Center/Opelousas General Health System, South Campus in Opelousas is a 12 bed Inpatient Psychiatric Facility.  The Senior Care Center specializes in treating seniors ages 55 and older.  Dr. Philip Landry, Medical Director, specializes in geriatric psychiatry and directs a staff of skilled professionals. 

Paces/Bunkie General Hospital located in Bunkie, LA is an 8 bed inpatient psychiatric facility.  Paces specializes in caring for Seniors 50 years of age and older.  Paces Medical Director, Dr. Richard Senyszyn and his staff assist patients in achieving their highest degree of function and independence.

Outpatient Facility:

Compass Psychiatric Center of Alexandria is a Community Mental Health Center providing a variety of outpatient services including a day treatment program, outpatient services for children, adults and seniors.  Dr. Oladapo Folarin, is the Medical Director.  His staff includes Registered Nurses, Licensed Therapists, Licenses Practical Nurses and Mental Health Technicians. Mental Health Professionals are also available after hours for crisis situations.

Avenues of Lafayette

Avenues of Lafayette is now offering an "after hours" program called Avenues Evenings.This program is based on the principles of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).  It is designed to meet the mental health needs of clients with daytime commitments (work or home) while encouraging personal growth and development.  This program focuses on helpful life skills such as interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance, and emotion regulation.  Our staff consists of Psychiatrists, Therapists and Nurses.  Avenues Evenings also offers group and individual therapy along with medication management.  The program can assist clients who are experiencing depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, as well as other issues that may be affecting one's functioning at work or at home.For more information about Avenues click here.
