The Senior Care Center is a 15-bed psychiatric inpatient facility located within Natchitoches Regional Medical Center. The Senior Care Center specializes in caring for Seniors 50 and older. Our program combines psychotherapy and medication management with the goal of assisting patients in achieving their highest degree of function and independence.

24 hour care directed by a psychiatrist
Individual, group and family therapy
Consulting physicians to identify and address physical illnesses
Private patient rooms
Confidential pre-admission screenings
Local transportation
Criteria for Admission
50 years of age or older
Inability to function in normal daily activities
Requires continuous skilled evaluation and observation
Pose an actual or imminent danger to self or others

Thoughts of Dying
Anxiety, Excessive Worry, or Panic
Severe Mood Swings
Hallucinations
Delusions
Disorientation or Confusion
Sleep Disturbances

Other Mood, Behavioral, or Thought Disorders
